Feed Grade Bentonite for manufacture of premixes, special additives against mycotoxins, and for on-farm use
For Bentonite for all other applications, please choose "Bentonite" from the PRODUCTS menu

Bentonite is a Technological Additive, listed in the Functional Groups of Substances for the Reduction of the Contamination of Feed by Mycotoxins (number 1m558, formerly E558).
Under Commission Implementing Regulation (EC) No. 1060/2013 of 29th October 2013, amending Regulation (EC) No. 1831/2003, Bentonite has been granted authorisation for ruminants, poultry and pigs at a maximum content of 20,000 mg/kg (complete feedingstuff with a moisture content of 12%).
The directive requires that this product contains a minimum of 70% smectite (dioctahedral montmorillonite) and less than 10% opal and feldspar and less than 4% quartz and calcite.  The Aflatoxin binding capacity must be above 90%.

Lead content: maximum 30 mg/Kg
Cadmium content: maximum 2 mg/Kg
Dioxin content: maximum 0.75 ng WHO-PCDD/F TEQ/Kg (ppt)
Thanks to its special characteristics, this bentonite is an ideal technological additive preparation against mycotoxins:
  • High specific surface
  • Moderate Cation Exchange Capacity ("CEC")
  • Fine particle size to promote surface adsorption of aflatoxins
  • No interference with other additives or nutrients
Feed Grade Bentonite is available in 25Kg sacks.
